Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Sohaib Kausari, trading as The Symmetry Method, handles personal data. We are the data controller for the information described below, which means we decide why and how it is used.

What we collect and why

• Order details — your email address, the product and price purchased, order amount, currency and date. We use these to deliver your download, keep a record of the sale and answer support questions. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Download activity — how many times your download link has been used and when it was last used. We use this to protect against link sharing and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing misuse.
• Support messages — anything you send us by email, used only to reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interest and contract performance.
• Basic technical data — IP address and request logs generated by our hosting provider, used for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest in securing the service.

Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us. We never see or store your card number.

Who we share it with

• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale itself, payment processing, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds.
• Hosting and database providers that run this site and store order records on our behalf.
• Professional advisers (for example accounting) and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as needed to support your purchase and to meet tax and accounting obligations (normally up to seven years). Support emails are kept for up to two years. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or port it elsewhere, and you may withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email thesymmetrymethod@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls on our database, and download links that are tied to a single purchase and expire after one hour.

Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies and local storage needed to load the page and run checkout. Paddle may set its own cookies during checkout to process the payment and prevent fraud. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though checkout may stop working.
